Sources

Prepare your sources

• A catalog of at least one VOD stream stored on a single origin
• An Ad Server compliant with VAST and/or VMAP

Transcoding profile

Check wether you need a transcoding profile for your ads.

• Ask your broadpeak.io representative for help if you don't have a suitable one ready

Service

Create the resources in broadpeak.io

• Create the Sources or retrieve existing ones
• Create a DAI Service
  • Define the insertion type as AVOD
  • Select the appropriate sources
  • Configure transcoding and ad tracking options

Test

• Test your service's output URL in your selected player(s)
• Check that you can see ads at the expected timepoints

Productise

• Connect your CDN and define the appropriate rules and policies to ensure an optimized delivery.
• Any new VOD content transcoded and pushed to the same origin should be usable without any further change

• Ask your broadpeak.io representative for help if you don't have a suitable one ready

Service

Create the resources in broadpeak.io

• Create the Sources or retrieve existing ones
• Create a DAI Service
  • Define the insertion type as Live Ad Replacement
  • Select the appropriate sources
  • Configure transcoding and ad tracking options

Test

• Test your service's output URL in your selected player(s)
• Check that new ads appear in the expected slots, and (if configured) that the slate fills any remaining time.

• Connect your CDN and define the appropriate rules and policies to ensure an optimized delivery.
